The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes are a federally recognized Tribe made up of the Salish, Kootenai, and Pend d’Oreille Peoples. Flathead Reservation, which spans more than 1,938 square miles, is located in present-day northwestern Montana.
In 2013, the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes developed the Climate Change Strategic Plan that focused on the impacts of climate change on the forests, fish, wildlife, water, air, infrastructure, people, and culture significant to the Tribes.
