
The Red Lake Band of the Lake Superior Chippewa Indians is a federally recognized Tribe with around 9,800 enrolled members. The Red Lake Reservation, which spans over 806,000 acres, is located in what is now present-day northwestern Minnesota.
In 2014, the Red Lake Band of the Lake Superior Chippewa Indians published “Mitigwaki idash Nibi: (Our Forests and Water), A Climate Adaptation Plan for the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians”, which highlights specific action areas to bolster climate resilience.
