The Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe is a federally recognized Tribe with over 600 enrolled members governed by a five-member Tribal Council. The Jamestown S’Klallam Tribal headquarters is located along the Olympic Peninsula on about 14 acres in present-day Washington.
In 2013, the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe developed the Climate Vulnerability Assessment and Adaptation Plan in partnership with Adaptation International and Washington Sea Grant. More information about the Tribe’s climate change planning work, including fact sheets and additional areas of concern, can be found on the Tribe’s Environmental Planning Climate Change website. In addition, the Tribe was part of the broader climate preparedness project led by the North Olympic Development Council.
