North Olympic Development Council

The North Olympic Development Council (NODC) is a federally-designated Economic Development District located on the North Olympic Peninsula in what is now present-day Washington. The NODC supports collaborative community development and environmental planning efforts between member governments, community organizations, Tribes, and businesses.

In 2015, the North Olympic Development Council led a climate preparedness project that involved three Tribes (Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe, Lower Elwha Tribe, and Makah Tribe), three cities, and two counties. In 2015, the NODC published the Climate Change Preparedness Plan for the North Olympic Peninsula. As part of the project, the NODC created the Climate Adaptation Dashboard to track progress toward prioritized adaptation strategies.
